• Physics-informed structural health monitoring of carbon composites with a focus on self-sensing
  • Target Domain: Complex carbon composites (e.g. wide-area CFRPs, sandwich panels, and rotating blades)
  • Core methodology: Domain knowledge based machine learning/artificial intelligence (e.g. CNN, LSTM, etc.)
• Smart composites with piezoresistive effect
  • Design of sandwich composite structures incorporating CNT-dispersed cores and CFRP skins
